Get the Recipe: Fruity Farce

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup onions, minced
  • 4 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup dried figs, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 pound cooked sausage
  • 1 small clove garlic, pureed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, minced
  • 4 cups prepared stuffing, cooked to box directions
  • 1 small pumpkin, optional
  • Salt and pepper , to taste

Instructions 

  • Preheat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add butter. Cook onions, celery, cranberries, figs, and apricots for 5 minutes, or until tender. Add wine and cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Add cooked sausage, garlic, thyme, and cooked stuffing and cook for 5 minutes, or until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place in a carved, seedless pumpkin and serve.
